Can you explain how the piece that comes down and locks works? I have mine mounted and seems fine but I just notice it doesn’t seem like it touches anything to lock it down.

Just av fyi tv mounting brackets are standardized so this will work with almost any TV that can be wall mounted. The legs just screw to the wall mount screw holes on the back of the TV.

Distilled water shouldn't conduct electricity. The dust it picks up when cleaning, however.... Lol

Distilled water isn't electrically conductive. It's the salt in the water that makes it conducive, which distilled water doesn't have. So unplugging seems unnecessary.
